Beatrice Marisa Bosquez was born and raised in a tiny Texas town alongside the Gulf Coast of Mexico. The slow pace of the forgotten cotton-picking town left much time to daydream about far off places and imaginary lives. Marisa found refuge in books and make-believe; She always knew she wanted to be an artist of some sort.
Marisa studied Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. During school, she spent a year in Florence, Italy and earned her BA in Fashion Design in 2003. After some time in New York working with handbag designer Andrea Brueckner, she found herself back in Texas. Upon returning to Texas, Marisa discovered her love of jewelry working under fine jewelers Anthony Nak and later designer Natalie Tischler of Ornamental Things. In 2009, Marisa introduced her own collection- Bosquez Jewelry. A companion line, Beatrice Jewelry was realized shortly after.
Bosquez Jewelry is crafted in gold fill, sterling silver, minerals and gemstones. All jewelry is handmade in Austin, Texas. Marisa loves the science and the myth behind stones. She is inspired by the mysteries of the Cosmos and the loveliness of Earth. Bosquez Jewelry seeks to create effortless, thoughtful and sensual jewelry
